Dallas Cowboys find NFL opponents for the new season ahead of a critical year for the organization.

The full schedule for the 2024 NFL season has been released, and the Dallas Cowboys face some fascinating games during a pivotal year for the organization. The Kansas City Chiefs, the Super Bowl champions, will open the 2017 season at home on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens in a repeat of the AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs are looking for a third consecutive championship this season and will play in the second-ever Black Friday game before Christmas Day, marking Netflix’s first NFL rights deal.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys face rising pressure to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995, following another poor season. They’ll face the New York Giants in a divisional showdown on Thanksgiving, as well as the Ravens in Week 3.

This marks the first time they’ve been scheduled to play Baltimore since 2020, and they’ll also face the Cleveland Browns for the first time in four seasons. The Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers are also on the Cowboys’ 2024 agenda, all teams they didn’t play last year.

Long-standing owner Jerry Jones remains confident that his team, the Cowboys, still have a shot at winning a championship. Last year, he declared that they were the best team in the NFC East.

His prediction came true as they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to win the division title. They did, however, exit the postseason early once again. The Cowboys are entering a critical season, with both linebacker Micah Parsons and quarterback Dak Prescott due for hefty contract extensions. This could explain why there has been minimal activity during the offseason. They’ve welcomed back running back Ezekiel Elliott after a year with New England, but another disappointing season could spell trouble.
