Joe Hart will put up his gloves after two more games with Celtic. However, having secured a new position, he is already making plans for after retirement.
The 37-year-old goalie hasn’t wasted any time settling in to his new role after agreeing to join the BBC’s squad for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
He has been enlisted to join Gary Lineker and other celebrities in the studio while they scrutinize the events in Germany.
Tony Ralston, Greg Taylor, and Callum McGregor—all teammates—will probably play for Scotland.
However, Matt O’Riley, who has recently made his way into Denmark’s first team due to his exceptional play in the Scottish Premiership, may make an appearance for his country.
In addition, it’s been rumored that Premier League Productions is interested in hiring the former Manchester City player for the upcoming season. Hart had previously intimated that coaching might not be his last career choice.
Together with Joleon Lescott, Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Paul Dickov, City is eager to offer him an ambassadorial role.
But he hasn’t said that he won’t remain at Celtic in a new capacity. He made the conscious decision not to pursue coaching badges when he spoke to the fan media at the most recent An Evening With Joe Hart event.
Many people, I know, have a strong background in coaching and management. I don’t think it always works for me though. There are several ways I may give back and assist, but my desire is to help others.
“I’ve told the manager and the team that I’m always here for Celtic, and they can count on me for anything. But leading a certain team? I have no intention of doing it.”
