In a shocking development for 2025, Dak Prescott and Bill Belichick predict a ‘package deal’ for the NFC team.

The Dallas Cowboys are about to embark on one of their most critical seasons in the last decade or two. Jerry Jones has spent several years attempting to construct a roster capable of winning another Super Bowl for the NFL’s most popular franchise. The Cowboys haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 1995, when they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17.

Since then, Jones has done everything he can to develop a franchise capable of winning another Lombardi Trophy, but the Cowboys have repeatedly fallen short. Despite making the playoffs five of the last seven seasons with Dak Prescott as the team’s starting quarterback, and finishing the last three regular seasons with (12-5) records, Dallas has failed when it mattered most.

Much of the blame has fallen on Prescott, who has shined during the regular season and appeared to be one of the top QBs in the NFL, but time after time, he’s crumbled in the playoffs leading to disappointing seasons year after year.
Last season, there were a lot of smart people in NFL circles who believed the Dallas Cowboys were finally poised for a run to the Super Bowl.

Dak Prescott closed out the 2023 regular season ranked in the top five in several major categories for NFL QB. He entered the playoff matchup against the Green Bay Packers with 4,516 yards (3rd), 36 touchdowns (1st), 9 interceptions and a QB rating of 72.5 (2nd).

Although some rolled their eyes when Jerry Jones and company decided to fire Kellen Moore at the end of last season — he’s regarded as one of the up and coming young and brilliant offensive minds — head coach Mike McCarthy took over play calling, and the Cowboys offense looked elite for the majority of the season. Finally, Prescott and CeeDee Lamb developed the ideal relationship and emerged as probably the league’s best quarterback/wide receiver combination. Beyond Dak Prescott and the dynamic offense, which averaged 389 yards and 30 points per game and scored 77 touchdowns during the regular season.

On the other side of the ball, the Dallas Cowboys boasted one of the top defenses in the NFL. Everything was set up for success but when their first home playoff game came around and they were significant favorites over a young, inexperienced Packers team that snuck into the postseason, Dallas did what it always does.
The Cowboys were dominated 48-32 and Prescott struggled, while the defense made Jordan Love look like Patrick Mahomes.

So now entering 2024 with several major decisions ahead, there’s a very real possibility this could be the final season for Prescott as the Dallas starting QB and Mike McCarthy as the team’s head coach. If they don’t make a significant run in the playoffs, it seems inevitable Jones is prepared to make massive moves to reset the franchise.

According to FOX Sports’ Nick Wright, Dak Prescott and Bill Belichick could work for the same club next season (not the Cowboys). Prescott will be a free agent next year unless he agrees to a contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, while Belichick has been out of work (as a coach) since the New England Patriots removed him earlier this year.
