Matt O’Riley’s “beauty” as described by Brendan Rodgers

Matt O’Riley, a midfielder for Celtic, is having an incredible season. In 2023–2024, the Dane has elevated his game to a whole new level, demonstrating his reliability as a valuable asset for the Lakers.

This season, O’Riley has made 46 appearances for the Bhoys across all competitions, tallying 16 goals and 17 assists.

The 23-year-old seems to have a knack for scoring against Rangers, winning back-to-back Glasgow derbies at Ibrox and Parkhead. Some of his goals have come at pivotal moments.

O’Riley appears to be the sole beneficiary of Brendan Rodgers’ return to Celtic, since he is flourishing.

The former MK Dons player has attracted transfer interest from two top-six English Premier League teams, even though he signed a new deal at the end of September of last year.

For the final three games of the season, fans should enjoy watching O’Riley while they can, regardless of whether he will be sporting green and white hoops at this time next year.

According to Rodgers, he has given the squad a consistency that has been missing this season.

He stated: [RecordSport] “His consistency has been nothing short of amazing. That, I believe, is what our squad has most likely needed. From a personal standpoint, his goal return speaks volumes.

Someone told me that he scored the team’s first goal in January of last year, therefore his current stats are a great testimonial to him.

“Matt has 23 years of age. He has 12 more years left in the game if he takes care of himself and plays until he is 35.

He’s basically just entering what’s known as the asset age at this point. Matt has a fantastic future ahead of him.

The wonderful thing about Matt is that he’s a learner who aspires to advance and grow. He’ll carry on doing it as long as he remains hungry.
