Cowboys news: Dallas confirmed to open in Cleveland; Christmas Day game in play.
Vowboys will make their FOX debut in Cleveland, with Tom Brady calling the game for the first time. The league announced a few notable games on Monday as a preview of the complete regular-season schedule, which will be released on Wednesday. Brady, the only quarterback to win seven Super Bowls in NFL history, will formally retire following the 2022 season. In his second season with the Bucs, Brady was defeated 31-14 by the Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card round at Tampa. It was the Cowboys’ first road playoff victory in thirty years. After taking the 2023 season off from football, Brady agreed to work as an analyst for Fox, accepting a lucrative contract with the network’s top team with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt.
This will be the Cowboys’ first non-night season opener since their 2019 game versus the Giants. It also marks the Jets’ first opener against an AFC opponent since 2011. Three years ago, the Cowboys began their 2008 season in Cleveland.
