Rangers players without contracts through 2024: Every player, including Ryan Jack, is scheduled to depart Ibrox this summer

This summer, a number of Rangers players are expected to leave Ibrox. After Rangers’ 2-1 loss to Old Firm rivals Celtic last week, Philippe Clement’s team’s chances of wresting the Scottish Premiership championship away from Celtic are all but gone. Rangers’ deficit was cut in half by a close-range header from Cyriel Dessers, following a dominant lead for the Hoops from Matt O’Riley and an own goal from John Lundstram. But the Gers’ fate was sealed shortly before halftime when Lundstram was sent off for a late tackle. The midfield player is just one of many anticipated to leave Ibrox this summer, as his contract expires in June.

1. Jon McLaughlin – Out of contract

Only 29 league games hath the 36-year-old appeared for Rangers since he moved to Glasgow in 2020. This season, after slipping behind Robby McCrorie and Jack Butland in the standings, is likely to be his final season at Ibrox.

2. Oscar Cortes – End of loan
The Colombian wide player had a strong start to his loan term, but an injury ended his season. He will currently return to Lens in the summer when his loan ends, though the club may attempt to make the move permanent this summer.

3. Ryan Jack – Out of contract

The seasoned midfield player has been sidelined by injuries often this season and has mainly been left out of Rangers matchday squads in 2024. It is doubtful that he will be handed another contract after accepting a one-year extension at Ibrox last summer.

4. John Lundstram – Out of contract

After a terrible afternoon in the weekend’s loss to Celtic, he may not play in royal blue again. It is a tragic finish to his Ibrox career for the player who scored the iconic second leg winner against Leipzig in the 2022 Europa League semifinal. strongly suggested as a Bosman free transfer to Turkish club Trabzonspor.
