Jayson Tatum has consistently faced criticism from the media, despite being the greatest player on the Boston Celtics for many years.
However, the All-Star forward has already discussed the recent abuse he has received. In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Boston Celtics recently destroyed the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With 33 points, six rebounds, and three assists, Tatum put on a display. Jaylen Brown scored 28 points on 76 percent shooting from the field and 66 percent shooting from beyond the arc, demonstrating his high level of effectiveness on the court.
Throughout the game, Jrue Holiday contributed eight rebounds and eight more points.
Conversely, Donovan Mitchell of the Cavaliers was in control thanks to his 33 points, six rebounds, and three assists. With Jarrett Allen out, Evan Mobley made a strong comeback, finishing with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Darius Garland and Caris LeVert both scored fifteen points.
With the victory, Boston’s lead over the Mitchell-led Cavaliers in the series is now 2-1. To keep the Celtics from having a commanding lead over them, Cleveland must win the next game. Whatever the situation, the Cavaliers’ next few days will make or break their season.
All-Star Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics shares his thoughts on disrespectful criticism from the media.
Tatum spoke with reporters after the game and responded to a number of inquiries. Boston’s All-Star forward specifically addressed the alleged disrespect he experienced from the media, as evidenced by this post on X that Noa Dalzell shared:
Tatum has been the target of criticism from the media for a number of years. Among them are, but are not limited to, consistently losing in the playoffs, drawing comparisons to the late Kobe Bryant, and not yet having any individual NBA accolades.
It remains to be seen if Tatum will stop talking and instead allow his game speak for him. One thing is absolutely sure, though: the Cavaliers won’t benefit from a heightened version of the Celtics star.
