Current Wolves transfer rumors include a player connected to a move to Molineux and Celtic’s response to the rumors.
Jake Clarke-Slater, a transfer target for Wolves, has reportedly responded to the speculation that he would leave QPR this summer.
Wolves and the five other teams interested in him could have to pay anywhere from £5 million to £7 million to win his talents, according to reports earlier this week. According to the sources, in addition to Stoke City, Gary O’Neil’s team has interest from Celtic, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich Town.
The 26-year-old played a crucial role in helping QPR win the Championship. This season, he made 33 appearances in the Championship, with ten clean sheets to help the Hoops stay in the second division.
Now that the championship has been achieved, Clarke-Salter has expressed hopes of leading the West London team to the Premier League.
He expressed his satisfaction at Loftus Road but did not completely rule out leaving.
“I was 24 when I left Chelsea, and I’m 26 now,” he remarked in an interview with Football League World. Now, in addition to wanting to further my career and maybe make significant progress with QPR, I’m also attempting to leave my own legacy beyond Chelsea. ”
I personally hope to play in the Premier League someday, and I think I’m capable of doing so.” The club is doing well, and there are exciting days ahead, so maybe I can accomplish that with QPR.”
“People might send it to me and stuff, but I wasn’t really interested in anything at that point; it was just about securing safety of QPR and playing as well as I can,” he continued. ”
I don’t have Twitter or anything, so I don’t see any of the rumors.” “We’ll see what transpires during the summer. I’m absolutely happy at QPR, and maybe we can have a successful season next year, but I don’t have a crystal ball.”
