Celtic has been instructed to spend £5 million on a striker who would score 20 goals a season this summer. If recent reports are to be accepted, Brendan Rodgers is already making plans to bolster the Celtic squad in several crucial areas this summer.
The Hoops manager is aware of the amount of work he has ahead of him.
We talked earlier this week about the likelihood of Queens Park Rangers defender Jake Clarke-Salter joining the team in the summer, while reports this morning suggested that Celtic is keeping an eye on Liam Kelly.
However, Craige Moore feels that Celtic has to buy a player in the summer who will ensure at least 20 goals a season.
Celtic needs to pay Adam Idah £5 million. This season, Adam Idah has been a fantastic loan addition for Celtic. To be fair, a lot of people would contend that some of his goals have kept Brendan Rodgers in the running for the championship.
His double versus Hibs was especially significant since two penalties in the last seconds prevented Celtic from suffering another road loss.
Moore also thinks it should be obvious for Celtic to sign this player, given that a £5 million price tag has been suggested as sufficient to turn his loan into a permanent move. Moore stated, “I think it would be good business,” [Go Radio Football Show].

And he fits Celtic’s model perfectly at this age. Additionally, they have had great success with agreements and companies of a similar nature. “Thus, I believe he would be a good signing, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that turned out to be the case.”
Idah, a striker that Rodgers acknowledges he is “excited” about, has done more than enough to make his case for a permanent move to Paradise.
Former Celtic legend John Hartson has called him “powerful.” It is unclear, though, if Brendan Rodgers intends to use that approach or continue using Hyeongyu Oh as his backup striker.
It would make sense for Celtic to make more inquiries this summer, regardless of the outcome. £5 million, given what Celtic has in the bank, is not a lot of money these days for a striker, and as Idah has already demonstrated, he knows where the back of the net is.
