Cowboys Executive Issues A Direct Communication Regarding Dak Prescott

The choice the Dallas Cowboys picked for their new quarterback was highly dubious.

It appears like they’re willing to let Dak Prescott finish out his contract, just when everyone was about to award him a big contract extension.
Some think Jerry Jones’ decision not to give him more weapons this season was a way to force him to prove his worth in a contract year, adding that he would let him walk away and hit the reset button if things don’t work out.

Nonetheless, that’s not how VP of Player Personnel Will McClay feels.
The executive stated on SiriusXM NFL Radio that the franchise wants to guarantee that Prescott will be a “Cowboy for life.”

He said that talks with his camp are still going on and that they are trying to work things out so that they can get to an agreement that will let Dak stay in Arlington for a long time.

McClay continued by praising Prescott as a superb quarterback and leader and said that nobody wants to be a Cowboy more than him.

Dak appears to have full respect and support from his locker room despite his extensive and well-documented list of deficiencies, and he’s now the best choice available to the Cowboys.

It will be fascinating to watch how this plays out as the new season draws near. If the Cowboys continue to lowball him or play the waiting game, there may still be several clubs interested in his services in free agency.
