Tommy Doyle is a midfielder, and Wolves have the option to make his loan agreement permanent. The 22-year-old, who has been on loan from Manchester City for the season, has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at Molinuex through 2028 with a two-year option.
Doyle, who came up through the junior system and made seven appearances for City, has made thirty appearances for Wolves this season as they appear destined for a mid-table Premier League finish.
Matt Hobbs, the sporting director, stated: “Tommy hasn’t behaved like a loan player and we have never seen him as one. “I think he’s had a great first year because he’s progressively accrued more minutes and grown in importance. It was almost inevitable because of what he brings to our midfield—something that the others don’t. He embraces the club’s identity and the cultural norms that we’re attempting to establish.
He’s the precise kind of player I believe Wolves should be signing because he’s fantastic for what we’re trying to accomplish off the field and he provides us so much on it.
As a football club, we like to sign players who, for the most part, haven’t achieved their peak and have a ton of potential still in them. “Tommy is only a small part of the player he can become as his comprehension and acclimatization to the league grow. “I’m very excited about him right now and for the future at Wolves.
