The Rangers boss notices something in the heroes of the Youth Cup, and Philippe Clement heads straight for the changing room.

Impresses Following the amazing Light Blues comeback victory over Aberdeen in the Youth Cup Final, Philippe Clement headed straight for the Rangers dressing room.

In a gripping match at Hampden, both teams exchanged blows before Joshua Gentles’ deflected goal sealed a 2-1 victory. However, Steven Smith’s team was in the lead, and Clement saw their efforts. Captivated by the proceedings, the Belgian made his way downstairs as the final whistle blew, raising a glass to the rising stars and inspiring them to keep pushing themselves.

Rangers youth coach Smith was ecstatic following his team’s victory over Aberdeen, saying, “The manager came into the dressing room and spoke to the players after the game.” He mentioned a couple things there that he’s really delighted with, and he’s noticed a few players. He observed both the technical skill and the necessary character that they will require at the upper echelons.

“I knew he was going to the game, but I had no idea he would also show up post-game. The entire first team coaching staff was present, and while we were celebrating on the field, we heard the announcement that we needed to go inside and talk to the manager. We learn a great deal about the man from it.

He is familiar with several of the boys’ faces because they have trained with the first team, and after tonight, I’m sure he will know a few more.
