After the 2024 NFL Draft, 257 college prospects were given the chance to fulfill their professional dreams.

The top five draft classes from the three-day Detroit event are shown below.

THE CHICAGO BEARS

The Bears didn’t just select Caleb Williams first overall in this draft; yes, they had the first pick when a quarterback prospect of a generation was available.

Rome Odunze, a wide receiver who the Bears acquired along with their potential franchise quarterback, should aid wide receiver Josh Williams in his transition to the NFL and provide them with a reliable long-term wide receiver.

Fourth-round pick Kiran Amegadjie, an offensive tackle, is also a potential long-term asset, and Austin Booker, a fifth-round pick, is also a strong candidate to make the team.

Despite having only five selections overall—one of whom was a fourth-round punter named Troy Taylor—it speaks something about the caliber of their selections that this bunch may be the greatest one made this year.

ARIZONA CARDINALS

The Cardinals deserve some credit for not overthinking this one and holding fire to select Marvin Harrison Jr. with their fourth overall selection. His presence means Kyler Murray should have an elite weapon for years to come, while their other first-round selection Darius Robinson can be an immediate contributor to the defensive line.

Cornerback Max Melton was a wise selection in the second round, while third-round choice Trey Benson was perhaps the best running back in the whole draft. Safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson was great value in the fourth round as the Cards used this draft to improve their secondary while adding playmakers to their offense.

THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS

The Steelers made the most of their four selections that were ultimately among the top 100. Alongside their second-round selection Zach Frazier at center, versatile first-round choice Troy Fautanu can be a pillar of the Pittsburgh line for many years to come.

Roman Wilson, a wideout with lightning-fast reflexes, followed. Russell Wilson procures weaponry and protection for the 2024 campaign.

Linebacker Payton Wilson should also be able to contribute early on the other side of the ball.

EAGLES OF PHILADELPHIA

The Eagles needed assistance at cornerback going into the draft, and by Friday night, they had selected Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, two of the top corners available.

On the opposite side of the ball, they received assistance on both lines in their nine selections and added late in the game in the form of Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson, two promising receivers.

The group added third-, fourth-, and fifth-round draft picks for the following year’s draft through deals, demonstrating their focus on the future.

PATRIOTS OF NEW ENGLAND

The Patriots made the proper choice by choosing Drake Maye over cries to trade down, even if they were in unique territory for selecting so early in the draft.

After that, they gave him the resources he needed to be successful in the NFL by selecting wide receivers Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker and offensive linemen Caedan Wallace and Layden Robinson.
