Stephen A. Smith is unable to articulate the Dallas Cowboys’ effective off-season efforts.
Questions that were perhaps best left unanswered were answered for Cowboys Nation.
Jerry Jones is in a difficult situation. The Dallas Cowboys’ predicament appears to be irreversible after he gave vacuous assurances during his press conference last Tuesday.
Worse, the Detroit Lions announced on Wednesday that Amon-Ra St. Brown had extended his contract, making him and Tyreek Hill the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL.
The same thing has become unbearable for Dallas supporters each year.
Jones is in charge of CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott, and Micah Parsons’ future, which doesn’t seem promising right now.
Dak Prescott is at his peak right now. Ryan Clark, a former NFL player, shared his thoughts on the franchise’s portrayal of itself to people outside of its facilities during the most recent episode of First Take.
He believed Dak had made greater progress. Dak is who he is and always will be. Dak was one of the top three candidates for MVP last season; as the quarterback, he guided his club to the NFC East title. He won’t be any more than that.
He went on, “There’s no watching him play this year and thinking, ‘I know who Dak Prescott is more than I did a year ago.'”
You seem to be stating that you’re okay with Dak Prescott being an unrestricted free agent and that you’re ready to move on from him. Surely there is no trade cost? Additionally, Prescott cannot be tagged. You’re implying that we will allow him to test the market.
It’s important to keep in mind that the owner has stated unequivocally that he is committed to Prescott through at least 2024.
According to Clark, Jerry Jones is the issue.
Every speech made by the multimillionaire businessman, according to the analyst, is meaningless. The club has been telling the same story for decades—that of a talented squad that never wins a playoff game—because history keeps repeating itself.
Attending the debate as well, Stephen A. Smith made it clear that he was disappointed in the organization’s inactivity.
“All that I am aware of is that they have lunch, dinner, then go out to drink. I am not aware of any other actions taken by the Dallas Cowboys executive staff throughout the offseason.
Smith added that nothing will change even though Jones is impeding the Cowboys’ progress: “The same reason most owners aren’t discussed is that they don’t fire themselves.”
Dallas finds himself in a precarious predicament that has several dimensions. Let’s wait and see what happens during the season.
