Charles Pickel is a Cremonese midfielder that Leeds United and Preston North End are interested in signing, according to a report by Football Scotland. The Serie B player is reportedly the target of a summer raid from Preston North End and Leeds United.
With ten caps under his belt as a DR Congo international, Pickel faces an uncertain future before to the impending transfer window. According to Football Scotland, he is the focus of “interest” from the Championship duo and has also been “offered” to Celtic; however, it is currently unknown how the Hoops feel about him.
Leeds United may view Pickel, 26, as a player to strengthen their midfield unit. The Whites are competing against Ipswich Town and Leicester City in an attempt to get promoted to the Premier League.
Preston North End, on the other hand, will be keen to push for the top six again the following season after missing out on the play-offs once more.
Pickel might have been considered by Ryan Lowe as a possible addition to bolster his roster of talent. Alan Browne, a vital member of their midfield, has a contract that expires in late June; it is unclear if he will extend it.
