What pick do the cowboys have in 2024 draft?

Cowboys Media Debuts Building the Board on April 8

Teams are already assembling their draft boards using all the information from the NFL Combine, Collegiate All-Star Games, Pro Days, and 30 Visits, with just over two weeks until the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Cowboys stand to gain from all of this because the region is home to TCU, North Texas, SMU, and a wealth of talented high school football players.

Although many believe that the perimeter of the team’s Frisco facility determines the range for prospects, the 2024 Rand-McNally Road Atlas does. The pool of players from whom Dallas can select is created by whatever the atlas defines as a contiguous suburb.

Each reducing the number of players on their list in order to produce a list of viable prospects to pursue. Similarly, the Dallas Cowboys media staff has been showing some of the biggest draft names and needs with their most recent Building the Board series.

Building the Board, a position-by-position web series shot at The Star in Frisco, has been providing draft analysis related to the Cowboys since 2021. This year, NFL Draft and Cowboys insiders Kyle Youmans, Patrik Walker, and Nick Harris alternate hosting each episode with team reporter Nicole Hutchison.

One more day has passed since the 2024 NFL Draft was due to begin. On Monday, Dallas Day was held inside Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, where prospective players from the Dallas-Fort Worth region worked out in private with Cowboys personnel.

In an effort to uncover local value in the upcoming draft, teams can interview, work out, and administer written exams to prospects who are eligible for the draft during these sessions. Former Cowboys players like Connor Williams, Lance Dunbar, and Cole Beasley are among those who took part in previous Dallas Day exercises.

The concept of who can attend is straightforward, even though prospect names and exercises are kept confidential. Teams in the NFL are allowed to sign as many prospects as they like who either were born and raised in their local area or attended college there.
