Rangers are playing Ross County with no complacency.

The Gers have never lost to County, who only entered the Scottish Football League in 1994.

Despite knowing that the Rangers have a strong record against Ross County, Philippe Clement is nonetheless bracing himself for a difficult test on Sunday in Dingwall. The Light Blues have won 20 of the 24 encounters between the two teams, with four ending in draws. Three of those matches took place during the 2016–17 season. The most recent was in January 2022, when Matthew Wright of the Staggies scored a stoppage-time equalizer to force a 3–3 draw.

The two decisive Premiership matches this season concluded with Rangers winning 2-0 on the road in August of last year, under Michael Beale’s leadership before the Belgian took over in October, and the Govan team winning 3-1 at Ibrox in February. Clement, who isn’t one to dwell too much on the past, stated, “I heard from their manager that they are really motivated and want to accomplish something great.

They performed admirably at Ibrox as well. To win the three points, we know we have to play well. We are now concentrating on it. After the match against Dundee at Dens Park on Wednesday night was postponed for a second time, Clement acknowledges that preparations have had to modify this week. At 3.30 pm, referee Don Robertson declared the soggy field unfit for play after conducting the second inspection of the day. The game is set to take place on Wednesday night on Tayside, however it may be shifted to a neutral location if bad weather persists. The first postponement occurred last month, ninety minutes prior to the game’s scheduled start time.

“We had to change plans,” Clement remarked. Despite the different preparation, there is still no justification for the Sunday game.

“If we have to make changes to our plans, I don’t want an explanation. We constantly adjust to the circumstances, but naturally, I will speak up if I notice something out of the ordinary. “No matter what choices are made, my squad and I will always adjust to win games. It is the way of thinking. Absent any justification for that.
