Former Rangers Player Acknowledges Extreme Confidence That If Celtics Lose, Gers Win Title

Kenny Miller has stated that even if Rangers defeat Celtic in Sunday’s Old Firm match, he cannot see them giving up the league crown. Rangers has played one fewer game than their Old Firm opponents, but they are still one point behind Celtic in the title fight. This Sunday’s match between Rangers and Celtic is one of the most important Old Firm derbies in recent memory, and it will take place at Ibrox.

While Philippe Clement emphasized that the outcome on Sunday will not determine the outcome of the title battle, Miller underlined that a Rangers victory might be more or less significant. If Rangers defeat Celtic on Sunday, the former Rangers striker thinks Clement’s team won’t be able to throw away the championship in the season’s closing games.

Miller also thinks that if Celtic want to maintain their chances of winning the league, they cannot afford to lose this weekend. “No league titles are going to be handed out, but this could go a long way to, not confirm, but put Rangers in a really strong position going into the last six games of the season,” Miller stated on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard.

Five points ahead with six games remaining if Rangers are to win the game they are currently playing? It is impossible for them to discard that. “I think it’s crucial for Celtic to win this game, and Brendan Rodgers’ track record in it speaks for itself.” Rangers hopes to complete a domestic treble this season, having already won the Scottish League Cup.
