As a last-ditch effort, Mendes “could force” the Wolves to transfer; Molineux is a backup plan.

If he can’t find another place for his client, Jorge Mendes “could force” Ansu Fati to sign with the Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Sport, who are covering the forward today, claims that Mendes is working very hard to find him a new team. According to the publication, Fati’s parent club, Barcelona, has stated that he is not part of their plans going forward, and Brighton decided not to sign him permanently in the summer. Mendes, who was before thought to be the forward for the Camp Nou, has therefore gone out to work finding a solution and is “already moving” in an attempt to generate interest in the player.

Spain is attracting interest, particularly from Valencia and Sevilla, who attempted to acquire him on loan last summer but were ultimately defeated by Brighton. While Mendes is gathering information and working on such possible activities, Sport suggests that he “could force a loan to Wolverhampton” as a last resort. The Portuguese agent still has players like Pedro Neto, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Jose Sa, and Nelson Semedo at Molineux, albeit his influence is not quite as great as it once was.

In fact, after excelling under Gary O’Neil this season, Neto has been strongly linked to leaving Wolves this summer. Perhaps he could offer him as a replacement. The concept exists, albeit temporarily as an emergency measure. He would have to persuade Fati and his group, who think that returning to La Liga would be the best course of action as they try to revalue the forward and get him back on track.
