The Celtics are targeting the SPFL Premiership title and the Scottish Cup this season, so the 2024 Player of the Year ceremony—which is sponsored by Call Robert—looks to be the best yet. It will also mark the event’s 20th staging and feature a special Legendary Player of the Year award.
There are a lot of possibilities to choose from in both the men’s and women’s divisions, as Celtic FC Women are also competing well this early in the season under Elena Sadiku’s team, who is pushing for league and Scottish Cup hardware.
On Sunday, May 12, the event will take place at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. In addition to the Player of the Year Award for each team, you will have the chance to vote for the men’s and women’s Goal of the Season as well as Celtic FC’s Young Player of the Year.
Voting is now available for our two special awards, Legendary Player of the Year and Legendary Goal of the Season, which will be given out at our 20th annual event. These winners have been selected from the previous 20 years’ winners.

With the Celts setting their sights on both the SPFL Premiersip title and the Scottish Cup between now and the end of the season, the 2024 Player of the Year ceremony, sponsored by Call Robert, and incorporating the 20th staging of the event with a special Legendary Player of the Year award, promises to be the best yet.
Not to be outdone, Celtic FC Women are also on the front foot at this point in the season with Elena Sadiku’s squad on the hunt for league and Scottish Cup silverware, meaning that there are plenty of candidates to vote for in both men’s and women’s categories.
The event goes ahead at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Sunday, May 12, and alongside the Player of the Year Award for each team, we also have the opportunity for you to revisit some of the season’s highlights when voting for the men’s and women’s Goal of the Season and Celtic FC’s Young Player of the Year.
