Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, US-based Africa queen Asisat Oshoala, and high-riding goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie have all received invitations from coach Randy Waldrum to participate in the two-leg Paris Olympics final qualifying match against South Africa next month. The squad consists of 22 players.
In addition to veteran forward Chiwendu Ihezuo and 2019 World Cup star Chidinma Okeke, there are recalls for U20 defender Shukurat Oladipo.
The Super Falcons will play their first leg at home on Friday, April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. On Tuesday, April 9, they will travel to Pretoria to play the second leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Waldrum has also maintained faith in key players such as attacker Gift Monday, midfield stalwarts Christy Ucheibe and Halimatu Ayinde, and wing-back Michelle Alozie.
