A brand-new Juventus transfer update surfaced as Leeds United entered the race for Koni Di Winter.

According to Dean Jones, Leeds United is among the English teams that have “checked in” on Juventus loanee Koni Di Winter in advance of the summer transfer season.

Before the season ends, Wolves, Leicester City, and West Ham United expressed interest in the 21-year-old center back due to his impressive performances while on loan at Genoa in the Serie A.

Journalist Jones of Sports Lens has revealed that Di Winter is expected to finalize a permanent transfer to Genoa after activating a permanent provision in his loan deal, despite the attention from Daniel Farke’s side.

He stated, as reported by Give Me Sport on March 27, that “I can understand why they would have needed to make contact by now, so any links between the Wolves and De Winter are interesting.”

“It is anticipated that he will become a permanent member of Genoa, based on information I have obtained from contacts in Italy. He has a redemption requirement set at 23 Serie A appearances as part of his move, and he currently has 22.

Although it’s an intriguing rumor, I find it difficult to believe that anything else could possibly happen in that situation. Additionally, I’ve been informed that West Ham, Leicester, and Leeds have looked into the matter.

There is currently some uncertainty around Elland Road, therefore Leeds United may need some permanent reinforcements during the summer transfer window.

Although Joe Rodon has excelled for the Whites while on loan from Tottenham, Leeds is still unsure if they will be able to afford to sign the Welshman long-term or even if they will even be able to prevail in the transfer market.

When healthy, Pascal Struijk has also been outstanding, but given that Farke has declared his season is done, it might be difficult for him to maintain a regular spot in the Whites’ starting lineup if he misses any of the preseason.

Though it might be difficult to persuade Genoa to let go of the 21-year-old so soon after he signs a permanent contract, Leeds should be able to find a new center-back this summer, whether it’s Rodon or Di Winter.
