The Next Agreement Celtic Needs to Consider Extending

Talks over Greg Taylor’s future and the left-back position at Celtic are becoming more and more important since his contract with the team is set to expire next summer.

Although Taylor isn’t well-liked by everyone, his work ethic and left-back play have been beneficial to Celtic. He has been a constant for the team.

It is possible that Celtic will try to bolster the left-back position during the next transfer window, especially in light of Bernabei’s loan departure. There’s no doubt that the team wants to get better, and signing a new left-back will be top priority in order  to maintain competition and depth.

Upgrading does not, however, lessen the significance of keeping Taylor. He is an essential player of the squad due to his background, knowledge of the team, and ability to put up strong performances. Having Taylor as a backup option offers trustworthy cover even in the unlikely event that Celtic decide to re-sign Kieran Tierney.

Therefore, it appears that extending Taylor’s contract will value his commitment and dependability to the squad in addition to providing depth.

His presence gives Celtic the assurance that they have a solid, proven player on hand who can fill in when necessary.
