Leeds United’s Good Friday matchup against Watford is predicted by David Prutton.

Prutton believes it will be a tight game at Vicarage Road, but thinks one team will come out on top.

Before this match at Vicarage Road on Good Friday, David Prutton gave Sky Sports his prediction, which is that Leeds United will defeat Watford by a slim margin.

After experiencing mixed results under Valerien Ismael in the 2023–2024 season, it appeared as though the Hornets would stick with him. However, as his term came to an end, questions about his future surfaced, and his firing was perhaps the best managerial move the team had made in a while.

Tom Cleverley, the club’s acting head coach in the wake of Ismael’s departure, will want to impress the Pozzo family by performing to the best of his abilities in the remaining games of the season.

Leeds, on the other hand, will be looking to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Daniel Farke’s team appears to be unstoppable right now, having won every league game in 2024, but they can’t give up on securing automatic promotion.

They have Ipswich Town and Leicester City chasing them, but Southampton is still very much in the running for the top two spots.

This implies that the Whites, who should ideally remain unbeaten until the end of the season, will settle for nothing less than three points.

Although Prutton believes the visitors have a good chance of winning this game, he doesn’t think it will be an easy one for them.

He wrote for Sky Sports, predicting a 2-1 victory for Farke’s team: “Tom Cleverley had a respectable start as Watford’s interim manager, winning his first game in the role. However, Leeds presents a very different picture from Birmingham City.

Before the international break, Daniel Farke’s team led the Championship—an accomplishment that not too long ago seemed unimaginable—but they have been unrelentingly persistent.

“They’ll have to sit and watch the rest of the action unfold on Good Friday before heading out at Vicarage Road, but they are too good right now not to get the job done.”

Given their current roster and lack of pressure, the Hornets pose a serious threat to other teams.

This ought to provide Vicarage Road’s hosts the freedom to express themselves.

With Willy Gnonto (seen above) perhaps having a major role in Hertfordshire, Leeds should have enough quality to win the three points.

At this level, Crysencio Summerville is another player who can make all the difference in the last third, and they have enough talent on the field on Friday night to win.
