After breaking the coach code of conduct and the National Women’s Soccer League’s anti-fraternization policy on Thursday, the Houston Dash fired goalkeeping coach Matt Lampson.
Furthermore, the league has prohibited Lampson from working for them for the duration of the 2024 season.
Lampson was put on administrative leave while the investigation was ongoing because of “third-party reports of Lampson crossing professional boundaries with a Dash player.”
An independent attorney was engaged by the Dash and the NWSLA, the league’s player association, to conduct the inquiry.
On May 13, 2022, Lampson was appointed as the team’s goalie coach.
