After collecting the man of the match award, Georginio Rutter spoke about the race for promotion as Leeds United defeated Millwall 2-0 on Sunday to take top spot in the Championship table.
Leeds won easily, recording their 12th victory in 13 league games and 10 clean sheets in the process, in typical Daniel Farke fashion. Leeds appears to be gaining ground on us just as we are getting closer to promotion.
Although they still have a game remaining, we have managed to surpass Leicester, which is quite an accomplishment. At one point the Foxes were leading by 17 points. Promotion seems very much on the horizon with eight games remaining.
Leeds and Ipswich, who defeated Sheffield Wednesday 6-0, are even predicted by Darren Bent to finish in the top two. On Sky Sports following the 2-0 victory, Rutter was questioned about getting promoted.
