We’re powerful. Georginio Rutter claims promotion for Leeds United following their victory against Millwall.

After collecting the man of the match award, Georginio Rutter spoke about the race for promotion as Leeds United defeated Millwall 2-0 on Sunday to take top spot in the Championship table.

Leeds won easily, recording their 12th victory in 13 league games and 10 clean sheets in the process, in typical Daniel Farke fashion. Leeds appears to be gaining ground on us just as we are getting closer to promotion.

Although they still have a game remaining, we have managed to surpass Leicester, which is quite an accomplishment. At one point the Foxes were leading by 17 points. Promotion seems very much on the horizon with eight games remaining.

Leeds and Ipswich, who defeated Sheffield Wednesday 6-0, are even predicted by Darren Bent to finish in the top two. On Sky Sports following the 2-0 victory, Rutter was questioned about getting promoted.

“In football, you never know,” the player said. We did, however, demonstrate our strength to everyone today. It’s not easy, as you know, and we only have eight games remaining. See what transpires once we stay focused,” he remarked.

Georginio Rutter claims Leeds will advance after Millwall’s victory.

Notwithstanding the cliché of taking each game as it comes, what’s fascinating about Rutter’s remarks is that he believes the victory shows the other teams in the league how good this Leeds United team is right now.

Leeds has been scoring goals consistently and maintaining clean sheets since the beginning of the year. A surefire way to be noticed. Farke has a good sense of timing and is skilled at what he does. We look fantastic as a result.

On Good Friday, we’re going to Watford next. A huge match against a team that can defeat the best in the league while also losing to the worst. Leeds ought to defeat Watford.
