Leeds United “hopes” to sign Premier League player who “has got everything” to a £15 million summer move.

This weekend, Leeds United has a fantastic chance to tie Leicester City on points and, depending on how many goals they score against Millwall, maybe even move up to the top of the Championship table.

The Foxes were considered the clear favorites for the 2023–24 campaign, but Daniel Farke and his team have made tremendous progress toward a top two finish.

The Whites currently have a great chance of securing automatic promotion back to the Premier League. They have won 11 of their previous 12 Championship games, going undefeated, including a decisive 3-1 triumph at home against Leicester.

Leeds, who are now just a few months away from promotion, have begun to look more aggressively in the market in anticipation of a busy summer transfer window. Who will be the last player to sign on the dotted line and who will depart Elland Road this year have been the subject of much conjecture.

Leeds has been named as one of the favorites to go up automatically, and while their business will mostly depend on whether they are promoted or not, they have the opportunity to unseat Ipswich Town this coming weekend.

The Whites will need to add to their roster and sign some more talented players, particularly those with Premier League experience, if they are to make a comeback to England’s top division this year. Leeds is reportedly mulling a move for Sean Longstaff of Newcastle United if they advance this season, according to a story in the most recent edition of the Sunday Mirror (via Sports View)

Howe discussed Longstaff’s prospects of making an impression on Gareth Southgate’s England team back in October, stating he thinks the midfielder “is good enough” to merit a position.

Depending on the system you want to play, I believe he has everything, but for us, he is ideal in the No. 8 role that we use him in. He is a really excellent finisher, as you saw the other night when he scored a really good goal, so hopefully he will continue to score goals and get into more goal-scoring situations. However, he has started this season off really well.
