Due to his struggles this season getting into games under Rose, Werner decided to sign a loan with Spurs during the January transfer window.
The choice was justified because the German international has not only played regular football but also shown that he is a great match for Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff.
The 28-year-old forward has scored goals in his last two games, and Hotspur Way staff members have been fairly satisfied with how the forward has behaved both on and off the field thus far, according to a report by Dean Jones in his Sports Lens column a few days ago.
