Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United, has praised Ethan Ampadu’s mindset and acknowledged that he always wants the player on the field due to his leadership.
Since joining the Leeds club, Ampadu has been a constant presence. He started the season as a key member of the midfield but has since moved back to play center-half and has looked impressive.
Being a highly dependable lieutenant under Farke, the Welshman has played a significant role in Leeds’ pursuit of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The Leeds manager praised Ampadu’s mentality while acknowledging that his consistent high-level play is a testament to his talent and personality.
He acknowledged that, as a leader, he wants the Welshman on the field whenever possible and expressed optimism that, from now until the conclusion of the season, he won’t sustain any injuries.
“It’s a credit to his personality and quality, he’s in cruise control,” Farke stated during a press conference.
At the moment, his consistency is amazing. A very strong defensive player who also demonstrates leadership and build-up abilities.
He seems prepared and professional, therefore I always want him on the field.
I admire his mindset; he works hard to recover in between games and, despite his youth, he is incredibly professional and mature.
While not the sole player, he is the one receiving most of the attention.
“Ethan has me pretty happy; we evaluate him every week and I hope he stays healthy and injury-free.”
When Leeds plays Millwall at Elland Road on Sunday, Ampadu is probably going to start at the forefront of the Leeds defense.
