According to a German newspaper, Chris Führich, a standout player for VfB Stuttgart, is now on West Ham United’s summer transfer list.
This season, the winger has performed admirably, tallying eight goals and seven assists in 29 appearances.
Due to his reputation as “one of the high flyers” on the Bundesliga team, West Ham and other teams have expressed interest in the 26-year-old, which is unexpected considering his trajectory in the game.
Sky Deutschland reports that RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen have all added the attacker to their target lists during the upcoming window.
The Hammers are the only team to be mentioned, and it is further said that “there is also interest” from outside. The Bundesliga trio may face competition from David Moyes’ team in their pursuit of the Germany international’s signature.
Stuttgart added a release provision to the player’s contract last month, extending it until 2028. According to Sky, the clause’s “realistic amount” is about €20 million.
Führich has played all of his professional life in Germany; if West Ham United chooses to trigger his clause in the summer, the website does not indicate whether or not he is amenable to moving to England.
