Huge boost to aspirations for Euro 2024: Rangers keeper Jack Butland to receive an England recall

According to a source, Jack Butland will be included in the England squad as a reward for his Rangers success.

After spending years in the wilderness, the 31-year-old has been aiming to make a comeback to the international arena. He earned his final nine caps in 2018. His lack of playing consistency at Manchester United and Crystal Palace kept him on the outside looking in, but since coming to Ibrox, he has proven his abilities once more.

Butland will compete for league and Gers player of the year honors, and he would love to top it all off by traveling to Germany for Euro 2024 in the summer. Considering that he is expected to be included in the team for this month’s friendlies against Belgium and Brazil, he appears to have taken a significant step in that direction.

Joe Gomez of Liverpool and the Light Blues number one are expected to be welcomed back from the wilderness by Gareth Southgate, per Sky Sports.

Additionally, it’s been reported that Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, will make a comeback after serving an eight-month suspension for violating the Football Association’s gambling policies.

Butland would be happy to receive a call-up ahead of their Europa League match against Benfica on tomorrow night.
