Gregory Vignal, a former left back for the Rangers, posted a photo of himself at the Ibrox club’s training facility.

The former French football player, who is currently working as a coach in his native country, posted a number of images to his official X account.

Gregory Vignal, one of the Rangers’ most well-liked cult players of the contemporary period, said in them that it’s “always good to be back.”

The defender, who spent a year at Ibrox while playing for Liverpool, made 42 appearances and won the League Cup and the SPL that season.

The majority of Rangers supporters, though, will recall Vignal from a memorable Old Firm goal in February 2005, when the Frenchman’s long-range strike confused Rab Douglas and contributed to a 2-0 triumph. The other goal was scored by Nacho Novo.

The French full-back now has cult status at Ibrox thanks to this moment, and their connection has obviously lasted into the present day.

After serving as an assistant manager at FC Versailles for a while, Gregory Vignal left Dens Park after working briefly in the Marseille development academy and later with Scottish team Dundee.

Gregory Vignal’s activities at the club are still unknown, but it’s noteworthy that the Frenchman was fired from Rangers on the same day as a Premier League striker.
