Fraser felt “surreal” about his full debut.

In Saturday’s victory over Fulham, Nathan Fraser made his full Wolves debut, which he called “surreal.”

Fraser, who turned 19 this month, had only made six appearances off the bench for the first team before Gary O’Neil started the academy product in the starting lineup on Saturday. The youth player was involved in the second goal as the Old Gold overcame injury concerns to Fraser’s teammates to win the match, and the attacker was able to celebrate a successful full debut for his team.

It was great because, although it was somewhat unexpected, it was something I had always wanted to accomplish.

We’ve obviously had several injuries, so I figured I could have a chance, but I wasn’t sure whether I would really be chosen. It was an exhilarating 24 hours before the game because I found out [Friday] morning, but it went well.

It seems a little bizarre. As you can see, it’s insane to genuinely assume, “I’ve just started a Premier League game.” It was wonderful because prior to the game, all you had to worry about was doing your job and attempting to score three points, which we did.

There are a lot of expectations when you play in front of a crowd as large as that, especially when you’re beginning, especially if you’re a number nine. I remember when I was younger driving by the stadium and taking in the scenery. It went smoothly, so I’m pleased.
