Starlet from the Wolves eager to take his big chance

After earning his first senior start for Wolves, Nathan Fraser is not content to sit back and take it all in.

Gary O’Neil gave the 19-year-old a chance from the start against Fulham on Saturday because to injury concerns in the closing third.

The academy graduate performed admirably against powerful center-backs and contributed to Wolves’ second goal, which proved to be the game-winning score. Fraser is now prepared to increase his total with more starts while wearing Wolves jerseys.

Particularly as a number nine, there is a lot greater pressure right away, according to Fraser. You’re under a lot of pressure, but I believe I performed admirably. It was crucial to score three points since you wanted to join in and support the squad.

While it seems a little strange, I can’t focus on it because we have another game the next week. Although this is a nice start toward my goal of having a Premier League career, one start doesn’t really signify much. I must continue to work for my improvement.

Shrewsbury Town was among the teams eager to sign the striker on loan in the summer and January.

However, Wolves kept the forward on the senior team in order to bolster their limited roster.

Fraser said, “No, I was focusing on doing as well as I could for the under-21s and maybe go on a loan,” in response to the question of whether he had anticipated this chance.

I wouldn’t believe it if someone told me I was doing this right now.

“It’s definitely not what I expected to be here, but I have to accept it.” It’s undoubtedly a terrific moment for me to grow and develop.

With all eyes focused on this weekend’s crucial FA Cup quarterfinal matchup against Coventry, Fraser is expected to start more games in the following weeks due to injuries to the offensive talent.

Fraser feels bad for his injured teammates even if he is happy to get the opportunity.

Fraser stated, “It’s a fantastic chance that I can’t pass up. All I can do is give it my all.

“I’ll give the team my all, and hopefully we can continue to score three points.”

“Having injuries is undoubtedly not ideal. Although it presents me with a chance, I also dislike watching athletes suffer injuries.

As a group, you must persevere. Even though the circumstances are challenging, we must continue to fight as a team.

Wolves is still chasing a trip back to Wembley and European football.

As the team aims to disprove the skeptics before May, supporters are thrilled about the prospects this season.

Fraser answered “absolutely” when asked if the Wolves are making progress. This year, we’re clearly surpassing expectations.

“We can’t really stop now, even though we know we’re in a strong situation. We still have a number of games left to play.

See where we stand at the conclusion of the season by taking each game as it comes.
