Smith Rowe is wanted by Hammers; Arsenal may let him go

Journalist Seb Ecrivain claims that Emile Smith Rowe may sign with West Ham this summer. The French reporter is just restating what Give Me Sport mentioned earlier.

The midfielder may never rediscover his talent at the Gunners, which worries the team’s decision-makers. The 23-year-old has had difficulty establishing a regular position in the current Arsenal squad because of injuries. Smith Rowe has missed 78 games for the team recently due to a number of problems.

It could be argued that he has been on the sidelines more often than the field during the past two seasons. It seems improbable that he would blossom if assigned a regular role in the team.

Seb Ecrivain claims that Arsenal is willing to let Smith Rowe go and that West Ham wants him. The Gunners only ask for a suitable offer to approve the transaction. The No. 10 for Arsenal, who is desperate to save his career, is rumored to be inclined to quit in the hopes of playing more. Ecrivain spoke.

“West Ham is considering the Emile Smith Rowe scenario. If a strong bid comes in this summer, Arsenal will not keep the 23-year-old. The prospect of getting more playing time with the Hammers is alluring to him.

Teamtalk first mentioned Smith Rowe’s potential winter transfer interest to West Ham in October 2023. Arsenal was only willing to let the 23-year-old go for a sum of £60 million, the report claims.

West Ham never made an effort to seal the deal in January, most likely due to fear of the player’s asking price. They could, however, do so in the summer for a fair price, which begs the question of how much Arsenal would accept in exchange for that departure.

Nevertheless, Smith Rowe’s departure will allow Arsenal to make the much-needed top midfielder acquisition.
