Returning African Games winners Falconets advance to the semifinals after defeating Senegal

Defending women’s football champions of the African Games Falconets tonight booked their place in the semifinal of the event after they smashed four goals past Senegal.

After winning their opening group game, the Falconets demolished Senegal to record six points from two games.

Loveth Edeh gave Nigeria the lead after 13 minutes.

An own goal on the 50th minute gave the Nigerian girls a larger lead, and a minute later, Motunrayo Victoria Ezekiel made it 3-0.

They still had ample time, as Chioma Olise’s fourth goal in the 82nd minute gave them a far more comfortable victory.
