Former Celtic star says the pair should play Livingston because they looked well.

Mark Wilson, a former Celtic defender, acknowledges that he would prefer to see Adam Idah and Kyogo Furuhashi combine when they play Livingston on Sunday.

On Sunday, Brendan Rodgers’ team will meet the struggling Scottish Premiership team in an attempt to secure a place in the Scottish Cup semifinals.

Wilson sees a chance to play Kyogo and Idah together when Livingston arrives at Celtic Park as lopsided underdogs.

The two recently played in Celtic’s defeat at the hands of Hearts, and Wilson thinks their combination showed some positive signals.

“Even though Celtic had ten men, I thought Kyogo and Idah looked good together when I saw them,” Wilson commented on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard.

Just playing off of him was Kyogo. They moved really well, in my opinion, and they gave Hearts some trouble and opportunities.

For Livingston, who is hoping to avoid relegation in the league by winning the cup match, Rodgers will be hoping for an easy victory.
