Paul Merson has a prediction for this weekend’s winner. Fulham or Wolves

In an attempt to get over the setback from the previous weekend, Wolves will face Fulham in a Premier League match on Saturday afternoon.

Following three matches in six days, which included an FA Cup match against Brighton, Wolves were worn out and Newcastle United took advantage, winning 3-0.

At halftime, Pedro Neto and Jose Sa were substituted out as injury precautions, as later disclosed by Gary O’Neil, leaving the Wanderers without Hwang Hee-Chan, Joao Gomes, and Matheus Cunha.

O’Neil will need to find a striker because Hwang and Cunha are still out with injuries, but Gomes, Neto, and Sa should be good to go against Fulham.

Marco Silva’s team is playing well right now; they have won three of their previous four games, including a 3-0 victory over Brighton in which Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz, and former player Adama Traore all found the score sheet.

After the outcome, Fulham was now two spots and three points below Wolves in 12th place; still, a victory of three goals would be necessary for the Cottagers to pass the hosts.

Paul Merson stated in his Sportskeeda preview of the game that Manchester City’s gifted winger Neto isn’t as avaricious as he once was and that he could play for any team in the world.

Along with that assertion, he made his score prediction for the game, predicting that Wolves, who are dealing with injuries, will defeat Fulham 2-1.

Wolves will be fully aware of the threat that Traore poses for the visitors, even though he did not start for the Cottagers last time out.

The strong winger did, after all, terrorize defenses for five years at Molineux. The club did extend him a new deal last summer, but he turned it down and relocated to West London.

The main opponent for O’Neil’s team, aside from the Spaniard, is attacker Rodrigo Muniz.

This season, the 22-year-old got off to a sluggish start, failing to score in his first ten games.

The Brazilian is now one of the Premier League’s most productive strikers, having scored five goals in his past five games.

Muniz has goals against Burnley, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in addition to his most recent goal and assist against Brighton.

Fulham will undoubtedly want to keep an eye on him as they prepare to launch a counterattack.

The striker’s clinical play in the penalty area is what worries the hosts the most. With a mere 3.23 xG overall, Muniz has scored five goals, and he will be eager to inflict further harm by undermining the Wanderers’ chances of qualifying for Europe.
