Neil Lennon of Celtic feels a bottle is necessary in the championship match.

The Scottish Premiership title chase this season is something Neil Lennon acknowledges he would love to be a part of.

There are nine games left in the fight for the flag, and Philippe Clement’s Rangers are still leading by two points over Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic, the reigning champions.

Particularly during the crunch derby doubleheader, the 52-year-old is sure that a good ol’ bottle will determine the outcome of the league championship.

“It does come down to bottle, yes,” the Northern Irishman remarked. Your mindset, abilities, level of fitness, and perseverance are crucial factors.

 

It’s very exciting, in my opinion. To be involved in it would be wonderful. Being a manager and participant in numerous, I can attest to how amazing they are. It’s imperative that you remain focused at all times. The most important games, in my opinion, will be when they play each other.

The Europa League is another fantastic asset that Rangers have, and I would much rather be in it than not. Playing against the best clubs and opponents in the league before home games is usually beneficial.

Lennon observed with curiosity while both teams lost to Motherwell and Hearts in their league matches. Since 2018, it was the first occasion that both Glasgow teams had suffered losses on the same weekend.

Before the winners wave the white flag, Lennon believes there are still plenty of turns and twists ahead. “You only need to look at what happened last weekend and you never know,” he remarked, challenging the belief held by many that the Derby doubleheader will be vital. After Celtic and Rangers both suffered losses in the same weekend, someone stated that you have to go back to 2018.

“That shows the consistency that both teams have or the dominance that they have in this environment but nerves will almost certainly play a part in the title run-in.
