GYABI PICKS UP TOP AWARD

Darko Gyabi, a midfielder with Leeds United Academy, was just voted Plymouth’s Player of the Month for his February performances.

The midfield player made five appearances, helping the Pilgrims to two wins and a draw while receiving an assist in the 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough despite being cup-tied for the three games against Leeds.

Alongside former Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw, Gyabi has alternated between playing at the center of the midfield and on the left wing.

About his prize, Gyabi told pafc.co.uk, “I’m really excited about it, even though I wasn’t expecting it.” Even though I was unable to play in certain games, I have made an effort to support the squad by working hard, supporting the boys, and absorbing everything. It has been difficult. Now that we’re moving forward again, everything is well.

Tragic news for young defender Jeremiah Mullen, who sustained a stress fracture in his back while playing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan, as he will miss the remainder of the season.

Mullen had made four appearances for the Scottish Championship team when Caley manager Duncan Ferguson announced the news, saying, “That’s a big one for us as he’s a good young player.”

Charlie Allen made his debut against Oldham and has since made two more appearances for York City after arriving on a short-term loan at the end of February. Prior to playing the entire 90 minutes against Wealdstone last week, the forward was involved in 45 minutes of their 2-0 loss to Barnet.

Three days later, the Northern Irish international was rested from the starting lineup for York’s match against AFC Fylde. However, he will be looking to play on Saturday when the team visits Kidderminster Harriers.

Lewis Bate, 21, is still having a great time with MK Dons. Since joining the team in January, he has made 11 appearances and is now a fixture in Mike Williamson’s lineup.

The midfielder recently participated in the entire 90 minutes of play as the Dons overcame Mansfield Town 2-1 to climb to fifth place in League Two. On Saturday, they will take on Salford.
