After a protracted VAR review, Tomoki Iwata of Hearts was given a penalty against Celtic when the Ball struck his arm as he soared above a mass of players in an attempt to head the ball out of his box.
“It’s harsh, but we’ve seen this in the Scottish league all season,” Dermot says. That is the one thing they have always done consistently: they have penalized any such incidents. Unfortunate and harsh, however they deserve praise for all the ones they have provided.

“Stephen Warwick remarks, “That was a poor choice.”

 

“I’m not sure what he’s supposed to do with his arm,” says Sue Smith. That was a bad decision, in my opinion.  Yun-Jun Yang of Celtic was dismissed after giving Dan Caseya high boot.

“I think the player is unlucky, but it’s a red card,” Dermot says. He is truly pursuing the ball and has no idea where the guy is, but if you stud a player in the face, you will receive a red card.”

Says Stephen Warnock: “Red? No.

Rangers were not satisfied that Dan Casey of Motherwell did not receive a card following his challenge on Ross McCausland that resulted in his removal from the game.

 

“I don’t know why [there hasn’t been punishment],” Dermot remarks. In my opinion, it’s a red card. Not a nice tackle, the pace at which he goes in.”

According to Stephen Warnock, “It’s a poor tackle.”

Sue Smith states: “A red card is required. Aggressive, it’s late…”
