Three changes, a significant striker decision, news about the Celtic team, and the expected starting lineup vs Dundee

In their pursuit of Rangers, Celtic will want to build on their thrilling late comeback victory against Motherwell last week by winning three more points at home against Dundee.

With eleven Scottish Premiership games remaining, Brendan Rodgers is aware that his team must win every one of them if they hope to win the championship for the third time in a row.

The Irishman now has a wider selection in his squad than in previous weeks, as evidenced by the return of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston at Fir Park.

Tony Docherty’s Dundee team has won two and drawn three of their last five games as they head to Glasgow in an erratic form.

However, they have had an excellent first season back in the top division, and a surprise win at Parkhead might strengthen their hold on a top-six spot.

After playing a brief two-man attack against Motherwell, Rodgers will stick with his more comfortable structure.

Joe Hart, the veteran goalkeeper, will start his first game in goal at Parkhead after deciding to retire at the end of the current campaign. The other three members of the back four are Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, and Alistair Johnston.

The other defensive option is Cameron Carter-Vickers, who we think is going to take Maik Nawrocki’s spot given the latter’s recent injury.

In front of the defensive four, Tomoki Iwata will operate, giving Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley a basis from which to work their magic. Iwata impressed enough in the engine room against the Steelmen to earn his second league start since December.

It’s interesting to note that several supporters expressed their displeasure when Iwata was replaced last Sunday; this makes sense considering that he finished 11 defensive plays and won all of his tackles.

Hyunjun Yang’s positive performance in the second half of the match from the bench on the wings suggests that the South Korean international will enter on the right side.

Due to his unwavering work ethic, Daizen Maeda will get off to a head start over Luis Palma, but there is still one significant decision to be made.

After his brilliant performance in North Lanarkshire, which has increased the Republic of Ireland international’s score to four goals in four Scottish Premiership games, Adam Idah will be preferred over Kyogo Furuhashi in the lone striker role [Transfer markt].

Furuhashi, Paulo Bernardo, Palma, Hyeongyu Oh, and Nicolas Kuhn are all capable of switching up the game from the bench for Celtic when necessary. Furuhashi is a Japan international.

However, if we need to see this one through, Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston provide dependable defensive assistance.
