Goalkeeper reveals interest in transfer after Nottingham Forest ‘offer’ is turned down.

Despite rumors that Nottingham Forest was interested in signing him, goalkeeper Jack Butland has stated that he had no intention of leaving Rangers in January.

For the second half of the season, Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos were originally supposed to remain the Reds’ top two players. When Forest made changes to their goalkeeping staff last summer, the two were hired to long-term contracts.

But both had made several mistakes, and Forest had reconsidered about fortifying between the posts near the conclusion of the January window. On the day of the deadline, they signed Matz Sels after having a number of possible targets on their list.

Butland was one of the goalkeepers connected to a possible transfer to the City Ground; Rangers allegedly rejected an offer. The former England international has now acknowledged that there was interest in him last month, but it was promptly dismissed.
