A Message For Adam Silver From Shannon Sharpe

Players and coaches disagreeing with officials has always been a problem in the NBA, but recently, things have gotten worse.

The game referees’ failure to call a foul in the closing seconds of the Detroit Pistons’ game against the New York Knicks on Monday night left head coach Monty Williams furious.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is currently being urged by Shannon Sharpe to take action on missed calls and the declining trust that some fans have in the officials.

“Adam Silver, you got to get this right,” he uttered on “First Take,” before going on to say that there are conspiracies and doubts regarding the officials’ decisions, and that replaying potential fouls over and over is just making the situation worse and eroding public confidence in the league.

Sharpe stated, “The fans have to think that what they’re seeing is improving.”

Following Monday night’s game, Williams and throngs of Pistons supporters were incensed.

With 10 seconds remaining, Ausar Thompson stole the ball from the Knicks, allowing the Pistons to maintain a one-point advantage.

Things took a turn for the worse at that point when Thompson and Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo collided while diving for the ball, releasing it for Jalen Brunson to grab.
