Despite Wataru Endo leaving Wembley on crutches and wearing a protective boot, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already made up his mind about the midfielder’s future at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has lauded Wataru Endo’s performance in their thrilling victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.
He went so far as to make light of the fact that the 31-year-old’s influence on the squad warrants a new, long-term contract. But Endo’s display against Mauricio Pochettino’s team has given Liverpool cause for concern with yet another injury as he exited Wembley in a protective boot and on crutches.
Klopp stated: “I’ve said it a few times, we were lucky to bring him in, and I am pretty sure Wataru will sign another long-term contract at Liverpool because he is a machine even at the age of thirty or thirty-one years.
