Plumptre confident of Super Falcons victory in the return leg

The Super Falcons have made three appearances at the Olympics, with 2000 marking their maiden appearance and 2008 as their last. Their best run was a quarter-final finish in the 2004 edition.

If the Super Falcons manage to overcome their neighbours, their next challenge on the path to the Olympics will likely be South Africa’s Bayana Bayana, who secured a 3-0 victory away in Tanzania in the first leg.

The Al-Ittihad defense attorney delivered her point of view in a firm manner.

We’re playing each game as it comes, with qualifying for the Olympics being the clear objective. I can’t even begin to guess how long it has been since we attended the Olympics,” she said.

“We just focus on the games that we now have. Though there are still qualifying matches to come, Cameroon is currently the main emphasis.

Plumptre concluded by emphasising their continuous striving for success.

“We come out here to try and win all the time, but we move on to the next game and hopefully come out with a win, so we can move on to the next round, but ultimately it’s just game by game,” she concluded.
