Mark Wilson, a former Celtic defender, believes that after Rangers’ victory over the weekend, Celtic will have serious competition for the championship. Before Rangers defeated St Johnstone 3-0 in Perth, Brendan Rodgers’ team lost more ground with a 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at home.
The analyst cautioned supporters that a title race will be close, but added that the team shouldn’t go into crisis mode just yet in an interview with Sky Sports.
Celtic have beaten Rangers twice already this season but have dropped points in games that they should be winning – Dundee, Killie, St Johnstone, Motherwell and Hearts at home not to mention the away draws at difficult grounds against Hibs and Aberdeen.
