Darvin Ham Has The Second-Best Chances Of Being The Next Coach Sacked

This week marks the return of Los Angeles Lakes basketball, and the team’s battle for a top-six seed will shortly get underway.

The Lakers will try to carry over their recent success into the second half of the season. They have been playing some of their finest basketball in recent weeks.

For the purple and gold, things are improving, but Darvin Ham, their head coach, might not agree. BetOnline reports that Ham is tied for second place with the least odds of becoming the next NBA coach fired.

Steve Clifford, the head coach of the Charlotte Hornets, and Ham are tied at +250 odds. Chauncey Billups, the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers and a former NBA champion, leads the group with +200 odds.

Ham’s job security may be seriously in threat, despite the fact that the Lakers have recently found their rhythm (winning six of their previous seven games and their last three games in a row). For a fortnight and a half, Los Angeles was stuck. Although the players had some responsibility, Ham should bear the brunt of the criticism. The Laker team suffered greatly from his lineup choices, dubious coaching, and rotational tactics.

Hopefully, that’s all behind them, but they could have been in a better place without Ham. Lakers brass Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka have been advocates for Ham, but another shortcoming this season may push them over the edge.

It’s not a sure-fire thing. However, if Ham cannot get the job done with a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis, this season could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for Ham.

Lakers fans aren’t Ham believers, but winning could solve all that.
