Josh Windass claims Rangers slashed Celtic’s Ibrox allocation because their rivals ‘kept winning’

Josh Windass reckons Rangers decided to cut Celtic’s away allocation at Ibrox because of their Old Firm rivals’ dominance.

Hoops supporters traditionally took up the entire Broomloan Stand at Ibrox, with Gers punters receiving a large section of the Lisbon Lions Stand at Parkhead. But the fixture’s world-famous atmosphere has been diluted in recent years after the Light Blues decided to slash Celtic’s tickets from 7000 to less than 700 in 2018.

Rangers claimed at the time that they made the drastic decision to accommodate more season ticket holders but those of a green-and-white persuasion have also argued that the Light Blues threw their toys out of the pram due to Celtic’s unprecedented period of supremacy
